Texans sign Henderson to a 1-year deal

The Houston Texans offensive line was a complete disaster last season, but they made a move to try and improve that unit as they signed former Bills offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson to a 1-year/$4 million deal. Henderson could compete for a starting spot at left tackle for the Texans unless the team upgrades at that position by signing Nate Solder or another starting left tackle. Henderson at least provides some better depth on the offensive line for the Texans as he had 27 starts in his 4 years with the Bills. Henderson is just an average starter at best, but he certainly can’t be any worse than Chris Clark or any other left tackle that started for Houston last season. This signing won’t make a huge impact for the Texans offensive line, but it at least provides some quality depth at offensive tackle. It is a step in the right direction to help the Texans offensive line that was completely awful last season.
