The Chicago Bears are upgrading at the wide receiver position as they signed former Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson to a 3-year/$42 million contract. Robinson has proven that he can be a number 1 receiver in the NFL. However, he is coming off of a torn ACL last season and it is kind of surprising to see him make that much money. There is no doubt that the Bears desperately needed help at wide receiver especially with Cameron Meredith having been their top receiver. The team also has former 1st round pick Kevin White, but he has been injured way too often and he has been unproductive when healthy. Allen Robinson is definitely a big upgrade over White and Meredith so this move should help the Bears offense improve in 2018. However, this is still a big risk signing for the Bears as they are giving $12.5 million a year to a receiver coming off of major knee surgery.
